INBOUND 2016 is coming to a close after treating more than 18,000 inbound sales and marketing professionals to inspiring keynotes, nearly 300 educational sessions, and a glimpse of what the future of marketing may hold in store. The most exciting session of the conference, at least for marketers using Hubspot, was the Hubspot New Product & Feature Launch.
In addition to reporting improvements and easier blogging, here’s a look at some of the exciting new products and features that Hubspot is launching to keep humans at the center of the future of inbound marketing.
Hubspot Marketing Free (That’s right, we said FREE!)
The launch of Hubspot Marketing Free was the most exciting product launch of the day—it received the greatest applause.
Finally, there is a free alternative to Hubspot Marketing that is perfect for smaller companies that need to capture, track, and convert leads without investing in paid software. It has everything you need to get started with your inbound marketing, including:
- Contact forms
- Lead capture pop-up forms
- Contact database
- Traffic and conversion analytics
- Integration with CMS, email, and form tools
- And much more
Content Strategy Tool
Search engines have gotten smarter, allowing them to understand the intent behind what searchers are looking for. This has led to a lower reliance on key words: Companies must now compete to own topics instead of words.
The Content Strategy Tool allows you to develop your content easily and intuitively. Begin with a broad topic and then branch out into relevant subtopics that your customers are looking for. The tool not only keeps you organized, but also evaluates your subtopics: telling you which ones are good (high interest, low competition), which ones are bad (low interest, high competition), and which ones could work, but will depend on your strategies (high competition, high interest).
Once you’ve built out your content clusters, you can then evaluate site traffic to see which content is driving conversions and which isn’t, enabling you to funnel your resources behind the content that is most likely to bring you revenue.
Integration with Facebook Ads
Now that Facebook has established itself as one of the leading ad distributors, it only makes sense that Facebook Ads has been integrated with Hubspot. You can now monitor which Facebook ad-clicks turn into leads so that you can evaluate the ROI on individual ads and campaigns.
Adding Facebook Ads also means that Hubspot is now integrated with the top ads networks (including LinkedIn and AdWords), enabling you to test all three major channels to see which work best in reaching your customers.
Embeddable Meetings and Messages
Two new tools allow you to save time and increase productivity by better communicating with your prospects.
By syncing with your Google or Office 365 calendar, Meetings gives your prospects the ability to schedule a meeting automatically, cutting out the back-and-forth (and subsequent emails!) that often accompany trying to schedule a meeting. You can embed a meeting link directly on your site so that customers can book meetings with a sales rep, and the system automatically grows your CRM database with each meeting booked by a new prospect.
Messages allows you to use targeting messaging to engage with the prospects who are most likely to convert. Each message pulls relevant information directly from the Hubspot CRM so that your conversations become easier to manage, and each message is pinned automatically to the contact’s CRM timeline so that it’s easier for you to make notes, create follow up tasks, and just stay more organized.
New pre-built project templates allow you to quickly and efficiently get started on the tasks that matter most to you and your team. The templates walk you through the tasks required to complete and project and even give you an estimate on how much time it will take to complete the project from start to finish, making it the perfect tool for you to learn how to do something for the first time. Assign tasks to different team members, set due dates, attach files, create templates from existing projects, share project templates with clients, and simplify your project processes.
Unified Hubspot Mobile App
The new Hubspot Mobile App finally brings everything together under a single app: Marketing, Sales, and CRM. This makes it easier to stay connected while you’re on the road so that you won’t ever lose track of a customer or campaign again.
Right now the app is only available for iPhones, but an Android version will be available in early 2017.
Visual Workflows give your team an easy way to understand how your lead nurturing emails and efforts all fit together. It’s easy to learn, easy to use, and allows for powerful automation with just a few clicks—saving time and driving revenue.
We’ve been using the beta for the last few months, and can say without a doubt that it’s the most intuitive and powerful marketing automation tool on the market today.
