Hello Everyone! I’m Kseniya, Pepperland Marketing’s newest team member. I am an upcoming senior (already!?) marketing major at Stonehill College with a strong interest in business, specifically the development and implementation of marketing objectives.
Unlike any of the other companies that I have worked with, Pepperland Marketing uses a new, innovative form of marketing called Inbound Marketing. You may have even heard the buzz about this brilliant way of working smarter with your money and creating an experience that people want. I learned about Inbound Marketing this past spring and decided to become certified by going through HubSpot training. Now, as an Inbound Marketing intern for Pepperland Marketing, I am putting my knowledge to the test.
My Journey into the Marketing World
Coming into Stonehill College, I had no clue what I wanted to do with my business career path. While taking a few classes, I knew anything with accounting was out of the question. Second semester I decided to enroll in a marketing class and from there my passion began to stir. I became involved in anything marketing related that I could get my hands on in college. I became a member of the Marketing Management Association, a Marketing Ambassador for The New York Times and Serengetee, and had my first marketing internship at Boston Stitch. Can you tell me and marketing really hit it off?
This past year I interned with The New England Revolution where I participated in the development of annual marketing goals, grew the Junior Revs program, and initiated a presentation on marketing towards college students. I also became a Style Guru writer for CollegeFashionista and have significantly expanded my writing portfolio thus far.
So after all of these experiences, why did I decide to join Pepperland Marketing?
Well, I knew I had a good understanding of the marketing industry but I wanted to experience something a little different. I found out about Pepperland Marketing through their internship ad online and once I researched the organization, I knew this was where I wanted to take my next steps. Interviewing with the Founder and CEO, Sean Henri made me very excited about this opportunity. He did not want me to just be an intern, he genuinely wanted me to be an essential part of the team and learn from his mentorship along the way. Now, having worked at Pepperland Marketing for just a short time, I have learned a great deal about inbound marketing. Each day at work is different and I have the chance to combine my love for writing, researching, strategizing, and creativity to produce well managed campaigns!
Is there possibly anything else I obsess over other than marketing?
Of course! Being born in Minsk, Belarus and coming to the US when I was just seven years old, I have always been an avid traveler. This past spring I studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain and had the opportunity to travel to Ireland, France, Greece, Italy, Hungary, the United Kingdom, Russia, and through various parts of Spain. I also have a love for fashion, community service, photography, and yoga!
